Few shows are as entertaining as Jersey Shore. You have most likely heard about this show in the past year. For some reason, there has been a lot of controversy surrounding it. The main point the haters are trying to make is that the show is stereotyping Italians and that the characters are not good role models because they’re constantly drinking and getting into fights. People who enjoy the show have a simple response: it’s entertaining. I fall into the latter camp. Does that make me a bad person? I don’t think so. I have also met my fair share of Italians. Some are like that, but most are not.
I have recently been watching reruns of Jersey Shore on Directtv In Florida. I forgot how entertaining the episodes were. It’s also interesting to watch the shows again now that I know the characters. Even though he’s far from my favorite character, I have to admit that Mike ‘The Situation’ offers the most entertainment. I think this has something to do with him being a narcissist. Just my opinion. J-Wow can really turn some heads, especially mine, but after I watched the season a second time, I realized she didn’t get nearly enough screen time. She’s way too wild too leave in the background. More J-Wow would have spiced up the show even more. Don’t be surprised if they focus on her more next season. Sammi is pretty, as well as pretty annoying. She seems like a spoiled brat. Ronnie is a cool dude. And one that shouldn’t be crossed. Not much more to say there. Vinny is the intelligent one – 1 out of 7 ain’t bad. Snookie is highly entertaining but strange to look at. And Pauly D is pretty mellow. He doesn’t say much. Put them all together any you have one heck of a household.
It might sound corny, but my favorite episode wasn’t when there were fights and drinking, but when they all sat together on the deck in the final episode. They stated how much they all appreciated one another, and they knew deep down that after that night it would never be the same.
